For those of you who know me, follow this blog/my social media accounts, or happened to check out my portfolio, you will notice that I mention Ireland. A lot. My entire childhood I longed to go to Ireland. I can’t really explain it. I do not have a close relative who was a recent immigrant. In fact I didn’t really know my somewhat Irish roots until browsing a family tree book last year. But something compelled me to visit Ireland, and study in Ireland (more than once!). My first experience abroad was when I was 20 years old in Limerick, Ireland for the semester. I loved it so much that I decided to return, this time to Dublin, for graduate school a few years later. I have been back quite a bit since then, as I now have an Irish husband as a result of those graduate studies! Given my close connection to and fondness for, I often write posts for this blog, and for other sites related to Ireland. I recently wrote a post for Pink Pangea, a community for women travelers that I am thrilled to be a part of now. Pink Pangea’s articles delve beyond the travel fluff and really get down and dirty with culture and experiences. So pop on over to Pink Pangea to get inspired by some awesome women. And while you’re there, check out my post as well!
